WHAT IS DDMIRROR?
It is a NEW dental instrument that is used when diagnosing or performing tasks. It has two mirrors, a bridge (two sections) and a handle.
WHY IS IT NEEDED?A Dental Assistant spends many hours of their work day standing or seated next to patients while helping the Doctor, this does not allow the assistant to carry out other needed activities in the office.
The Dentist is able to access his or her own materials and tools but they can not manipulate rotary, vibratory or sharp tools inside the patient’s mouth and simultaneously separate the tongue and cheek without damaging the tissues in the area. These tasks are impossible to achieve without the help of a dental assistant, however TODAY this is possible with the use of the new DDMIRROR.
HOW IS THE DDMIRROR USED?
One use is to place one mirror in-between the dental arch and the cheek and the second mirror in-between the dental arch and the tongue. The DDMIRROR bridge goes across or behind the dental arch and the handle can be connected to either mirror for use on the right or left side of the patient.
